A Woman's Heart
"Only a Woman's Heart", which appears on the album 'Eleanor McEvoy', was the song that began it
all for Eleanor McEvoy. The song initially gained attention as the inspiration and title track for
'A Woman's Heart', a compilation album of Irish female artists. That album has gone on to sell
500,000 plus copies in Ireland and Europe to date, more than any other album in Irish history. It
soared straight into the Top 10 where it stayed for over a year. The album's namesake and hit
single led to McEvoy's winning the Irish Record Industry Award for "Best New Artist" back in '92.
Over the past 10 years Eleanor has recorded four studio albums, toured the globe (many times) and
co-written with many singer-songwriters. In 2002 Eleanor's latest CD 'YOLA' was another first when it was released in
super audio compact disc (SACD) format.
